TISonline is an information resource consisting of 32 information streams covering public service financial management. TISonline provides a comprehensive summary of the financial, legislative, administrative and strategic background to the public services.

The service was launched by CIPFA in 1967 and became an established and invaluable reference source for practitioners, professional trainees, members, academics, professional advisors and all those with an interest in financial management across the public services.

The service has been available online since January 2003. Online access allows continuous updating of the content, multi-user access, remote access from any PC, search facilities and links to legislation and sources of further information.

The focus of TISonline is the provision of core good practice guidance 'by practitioners, for practitioners'. Most of the content is written and updated by editorial boards of practitioners who draw on their personal experience and expertise.

The information streams are supported by Discussion Forums providing access to an evolving network of practitioners.

To access TISonline, users must register to receive a password which they then use with their email address to log on to the website. Registration is free and is open to all, and certain areas of the website, including the discussion forums, are accessible to all registered users. However, access to the content of TISonline information streams is restricted to users from subscribing organisations.

A subscription to TISonline provides multi-user organisation wide access. This means that anyone in the subscribing organisation can use the service, from any PC with internet access. Each user must register individually, and will receive their own unique password.

When users log on they are granted access to the information streams according to the level of subscription held by their organisation. A subscription can cover individual information streams or the full TISonline service (all 32 streams). The subscription year runs from 1 April to 31 March, with pro rata rates available for part year joiners. For current subscription rates see Subscription Packages.
